Safari Friends Birthday Cookies!

My little baby Cooper turned 1 this past Friday so I decided I would make some little cookies that match his theme.  Not really because I wanted to, but I just kept thinking how cute they would be and I had some good ideas for the decorating.  Well, I ended up making 2 dozen of these and it took me two days to get them done!  It's not easy when you trying to meet the needs and demands of 3 small children and one husband!  But, I got them done and I thought they were really cute!  I didn't need 2 dozen for our small family party, so I brought them to our Friday morning Safari Club visit to share with our friends!

Butterfly Garden Party

Miss Madelyn is having a Butterfly Party at the Museum and now she has some special treats to give out for favors!  Her Mommy is brilliant and came up with this idea to send each party guest home with a butterfly catching net with a yummy butterfly cookie already "caught"!  How cute!  I hope I get a photo of the finished project...

Wedding Cookies

My cousin Brandy got married a few weekends ago and I made these pretty little wedding cake cookies.  She had a "Candy Bar" in one of the corners of the room and my cookies were neatly displayed among all the other treats!  I didn't get a picture of the table, but I stole this one from a family member... it's a little fuzzy but the idea was really cute.  I'm hoping the photographer got a shot that I can use.  Anyway here is what I have...

Cupcake Cookies

Whoop, Whoop, I made cookies.  And really cute ones at that!  Julia's Mommy asked me to make these cupcake cookies to use as party favors at her 1st Birthday Party.  There were 2 dozen to make and bag with this cute little tag saying "Thanks For Coming"!  I was excited to get back into cookie making and I hope to be doing a lot more really soon!  Also, I've been doing some tweaking on my recipes and I am very pleased with what I have - they taste better than ever and the icing is a bit more sturdy and easier to work with. 

Mini Cupcakes

I haven't made cookies in a while, but this weekend I did make some pretty cute mini cupcakes!  My family hosted a couples shower for my cousin Brandy and her fiance Blake so I wanted to test my buttercream icing skills and make the cup cakes!  They turned out really cute and they were super yummy! 

***Now, looking at the pictures, I should have "dressed" the plates up a little with flowers or ribbon... ugh, maybe next time.
